1959 Hamilton Thin-o-Matic T-402

Serviced March 2019, refinished white dial, hand polished 10k gold filled one piece case, monogramed case back, unworn leather band, acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.

Hamilton's Masterpiece line was their awards division during the 1950's and 1960's. This division marketed watches to companies as service awards or presentation watches that could be engraved. The Masterpiece line typically used existing cases but put different dials on them to differentiate them from the regular, cataloged watches. This particular Masterpiece watch is using a Thin-o-Matic T-402 case (the T-402 was originally produced 1959 through 1961). The dial appears to be refinished at some point it its history. It features 14k gold applied markers and numerals. There is a pearlized minute track. This particular watch comes with an automatic Swiss made Hamilton caliber 623 movement with 17 jewels and a center sweep second hand. The hands appear to be original with patina. The 10k gold filled one piece case with some scratching. The case back is monogramed. The watch comes ready to wear on an unworn brown genuine leather strap. The 623 automatic movement was serviced March 2019 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 43 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 10k gold filled one piece case. There is no visible plate wear, but some scratching on the bezel and case back. Case back is monogrammed:

Lugs - Minor scratches on the dial side of the lugs, minor plate wear on the tips.

Crystal - Polished domed acrylic crystal.

Hands - Appear to be original with light patina.

Dial - Refinished white dial. 14k applied markers and numerals, pearlized minute track.

Band - Brand new, unworn brown croc print genuine leather strap with gold tone buckle.

Movement - Swiss made Hamilton caliber 623, automatic wind, 17 jewels, center sweep seconds. Fully serviced March 2019. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
