Serviced May 2026, American made manual wind movement, excellent silver dial with painted roman numerals, hand polished 10k gold filled bezel and case back, unworn genuine leather strap, NOS acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring, hacking movement.
Made ffor just two years, the 1940 Hamilton Sentinel comes with an American made Hamilton caliber 987S manual wind movement with 17 jewels. This is the first movement with sweep seconds and hacking Hamilton produced. The silver dial is in excellent condition with very light patina evident. The painted Hamilton branding and minute track are very good. The blued hands appear to be original with little to no patina. A NOS acrylic crystal was installed during service. The 10k gold filled bezel and case back have been hand polished and show some fine scratching. The inside of the case back in monogrammed. There is no plate wear evident. The watch comes ready to wear on an unworn brown genuine leather two piece strap. The 987S caliber manual wind movement was serviced May 2026 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 11 seconds per day.
