Produced from 1927 through 1931, the Barrel Plain is from the so called "geometric" era of Hamilton watches when their wrist watches were named for their case shapes. The serial number on the barrel bridge is from 1928. This Barrel Plain comes with a manual wind, American made, Hamilton caliber 987 with 17 jewels. The original silver dial is in excellent condition with some light patina. The numerals were relumed during August 2026 service. The paint on the outer minute track is in excellent condition. The hands appear to be original with patina and were relumed during service. A NOS mineral glass crystal was installed August 2026. The hand polished 14k gold filled case shows some fine scratching with minor plate wear on the corners of the bezel. The watch comes ready to wear on an unworn tan genuine leather strap with stainless steel hardware. The 987 manual wind movement was serviced August 2026 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 14 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 14k white gold filled bezel and snap on case back. Plate wear on corvers of bezel. Bezel is smooth, sides of case are engraved.
Lugs - Plate wear on lug tips. Lugs are drilled.
Crystal - NOS mineral glass crystal installed during August 2026 service.
Hands - Appear to be original with patina. Relumed during service.
Dial - Original silver dial with painted numerals, minute track, and sub seconds dial. Paint across the dial is excellent. Some light patina. Relumed numerals.
Strap - New tan genuine leather two piece strap with stainless steel buckle.
Movement - American made Hamilton caliber 987, manual wind, 17 jewels. Fully serviced August 2026. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
