1976 Hamilton Auto Cal Sierra

Serviced February 2020, quickset date function at 3 o'clock, Swiss made automatic movement, near mint sunburst "degrade" gilt dial with applied hour markers and painted minute track. Hand polished 14k gold electroplated case, stainless steel screw down case back, unworn leather strap, NOS acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.

Made in 1976 and 1977, the Hamilton Auto Cal Sierra comes with a Swiss made (ETA) Hamilton caliber 836 automatic movement. The watch features a near mint condition gilt "degrade" dial with a sunburst finish. The center portion of the dial is a bright gilt with the dial slowly fading to a dark brown towards the outside of the minute track. This design is from the factory and is not caused by environmental fading or patination. The dial features applied hour markers and a white painted minute track. The date window is at 3 o'clock and is framed by a gilt window. The NOS domed acrylic crystal was installed during service. The 14k gold electroplated case has been hand polished and shows some scratching. The front of the bezel still has some of the factory brushing. The stainless steel case back has very minor scratching consistent with age. The face of the crown shows plate wear. The two piece leather strap is brand new and unworn. The 836 caliber automatic date movement was serviced February 2020 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 16 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 14k gold electroplated case with factory brushing on the front of the bezel. Stainless steel screw down case back has some scratching. The crown has plate wear on the face.

Lugs -Minor dings on the reverse side of the lugs.

Crystal - NOS domed acrylic crystal installed during service February 2020.

Hands - Appear to be original with little to no patina.

Dial - Original, near mint condition dial. "Degrade" gilt dial with sunburst finish, applied hour markers and Hamilton "H" logo, painted minute track. Paint on the dial is in mint condition.

Band - Unworn brown genuine leather strap with gold tone buckle.

Movement - Swiss (ETA) made Hamilton caliber 836, quick set date, automatic, 17 jewels. Fully serviced February 2020. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
