Made for just three years from 1975 through 1977, the Hamilton Auto Date Hawk was only offered in stainless steel in 1975. This watch comes with a Swiss (ETA) made automatic 826 caliber movement with a day/date complication at the 3 o'clock position. Day and date are quick change. This watch hand winds. The dial is excellent with a blue field that fades to black towards the edges under the silver outer track. There are fine cracks (spidering) on the blue dial, most noticeable under magnification. The applied silver markers with black accents are excellent are the painted minute markers. The raised silver field shows some patina. The paint across the dial is in minty condition. The original painted hands are excellent and have been relumed. The flat mineral glass crystal has fine chipping near the 4 and 10 o'clock positions. The watch is ready to wear on an unworn two piece blue strap with stainless buckle. The Swiss (ETA) made 17 jewel caliber 826 automatic movement was fully serviced January 2026 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 8 seconds per day.
