1975 Hamilton Auto Date Escort

Serviced April 2019, day and date complication with quick set, Swiss made automatic movement, excellent maroon dial with applied hour markers. Hand polished 14k gold electroplated case with some plate wear, stainless steel case back, unworn leather strap with gold tone buckle, acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.

Made from 1973 through 1977, the Hamilton Auto Date Escort was only offered with the gold plated case and Maroon dial with the Quick Change II (Q/C II) movement in 1975 and 1976. This watch comes with a Swiss made (ETA) Hamilton caliber 826 automatic movement with Q/C II to change both the day and the date at the second position with the crown. The watch features an excellent maroon dial with applied hour markers. The day and date window is at 3 o'clock. The acrylic crystal was polished clean and clear of any major defects during the full service April 2019. The 14k gold electroplated case has been hand polished and shows some scratching. There is some plate wear on the bezel near the 4 o'clock. The stainless steel case back has some minor scratching consistent with age. The face of the crown shows plate wear. The watch comes ready to wear on a brand new, hand made, Italian leather strap with contrasting stitching and gold tone buckle. Included with the watch is the original Hamilton box and gold plated bracelet. The original bracelet is in rough condition with plate wear and a broken link. The 826 caliber automatic day/date movement was serviced April 2019 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 18 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 14k gold electroplated case. Plate wear on the bezel at 4 o'clock. Fine scratching evident. Stainless steel screw down case back has some scratching. The crown has plate wear on the face.

Lugs - Little to no wear on the tips of the lugs.

Crystal - Acrylic crystal polished clean and clear.

Hands - Appear to be original with little to no patina. White paint in excellent condition.

Dial - Original, excellent condition dial. Maroon dial with applied gold hour markers with white accents. Applied Hamilton "H" logo at 9 o'clock, painted Hamilton and selfwinding branding. Paint on the dial is in excellent condition.

Band - Brand new, hand made, Italian leather strap with contrasting stitching and gold tone buckle. Watch also comes with the original Hamilton gold plated bracelet. The bracelet shows signs of significant plate wear and has a broken link.

Additional - The watch comes with the original Hamilton presentation box. The box is lines with red velvet and is in excellent condition.

Movement - Swiss (ETA) made Hamilton caliber 826, quick set day/date, automatic, 17 jewels. Fully serviced April 2019. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
