Made for just one year in 1973, the Hamilton Day 'n Date 501HF was part of Hamilton's High Frequency collection. These watches beat at 36,000 beat per hour, giving the center second hand a very smooth sweep. This watch comes with a Swiss (AS) made automatic 631 caliber movement with day and date complication at the 3 o'clock position. The date has a quick set function by pressing the crown in to advance the day. This watch hacks and hand winds. The dial is mint with a metallic blue field and silver outer track. The hour markers have been relumed during service. The applied silver markers are excellent as is the blue chapter ring with white painted minute markers. The paint across the dial is in mint condition. The original white painted hands are excellent and have also been relumed. The watch is ready to wear a brand new, unworn, genuine leather black two piece strap. The Swiss (AS) made 17 jewel caliber 631 high frequency automatic movement was fully serviced August 2025 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 8 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished stainless steel case and screw down case back. Some scratching on the bezel along with the factory brushing. Signed Hamilton crown.
Lugs - In excellent condition with no major defects. Some light scratching.
Crystal - Flat top acrylic crystal polished clean and clear of major defects during full service in August 2025.
Hands - Original white painted hands. Relumed during August 2025 service.
Dial - Blue and silver metallic dial. Applied silver tone hour markers. Painted Hamilton, automatic branding, and "HF-36" indicating the 36k bph beat rate. Silver applied H logo. Painted minute track on blue chapter ring. Paint on the dial is in mint condition.
Strap - Unworn genuine leather two piece black strap with stainless steel clasp.
