1973 Hamilton Day 'N Date 5004

Serviced December 2019, Swiss made automatic wind movement, quick set day and date, excellent black sunburst dial, applied markers, painted minutes and seconds track, hand polished stainless steel case and screw down case back, NOS acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring, unworn leather strap.

The Hamilton Day N' Date 5004 was made for just one year in 1973. The watch comes with a Swiss (ETA) made automatic wind caliber 825 movement. The black sunburst dial is in excellent condition with little to no patina evident. The applied silver markers with white accents are in excellent condition, with the exception of the 12 o'clock marker which is missing some of the white enamel accent. The painted minute and seconds track are excellent with two small areas of fading at 16 and 21 minutes. The paint for the Hamilton logo and selfwinding branding is in excellent condition. The original silver hands with white accents are very good with light patina. The watch is ready to wear on an unworn black genuine leather two piece strap with silver toned buckle and contrasting stitching. The Swiss (ETA) made 17 jewel caliber 825 automatic wind movement was fully serviced December 2019 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 34 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished stainless steel case and screw down case back. Some scratching on the bezel and on the case back.

Lugs - Lugs are in excellent condition with no major defects. Some light scratching.

Crystal - NOS domed acrylic crystal installed during service in December 2019.

Hands - Appear to be original with light patina developing.

Dial - Excellent original black dial with sunburst finish. Applied silver tone markers with white painted accents. Painted Hamilton branding, selfwinding branding, and minute and second track. Applied Hamilton H logo. Small portion of the white accent missing from the 12 o'clock hour marker. Paint fading at the 16 and 21 minute markers.

Band - Unworn, black genuine leather strap with silver toned clasp and contrasting stitching.

Movement - Swiss (ETA) made Hamilton automatic wind caliber 825, 17 jewels. Fully serviced December 2019. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
