1973 Hamilton Auto Yorktowne

Serviced August 2021, Swiss made automatic movement, mint silver dial with applied hour markers and numerals, painted minute track. Hand polished stainless steel case and screw down case back, stainless steel bracelet, acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring, original Hamilton presentation box.

This Hamilton model was known by two names during its production. Introduced in 1973 and produced through 1976, the watch was known as the Yorktowne through 1974. In 1975, the name was changed to Auto Saratoga. The Auto Yorktowne is part of several Hamilton watches, including the Auto Saratoga, that took their names from early United States Navy aircraft carriers. This watch comes with a Swiss made (ETA) Hamilton caliber 818 automatic movement. The watch features a mint condition radially brushed silver dial with applied hour markers and numerals and a black painted minute track. The domed acrylic crystal was polished clean and clear of any major defects. The stainless steel case has been hand polished with fine scratches evident. The watch comes ready to wear on stainless steel Otron bracelet. The watch comes in an original Hamilton presentation box with blue velvet lining. The 818 caliber automatic also hand winds and was serviced August 2021 and is running strong and currently performing at +/- 13 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished stainless steel case with some scratches. Stainless steel screw down case back.

Lugs - In excellent condition with fine scratching.

Crystal - Domed acrylic crystal polished clean and clear of any major defects.

Hands - Appear to be original with light patina.

Dial - Original, mint condition dial. Radially bushed with applied numerals and hour markers. Painted Hamilton "H" logo, painted minute track, and painted 'selfwinding' branding. Paint on the dial is in mint condition.

Bracelet - Stainless steel Otron bracelet.

Movement - Swiss (ETA) made Hamilton caliber 818, automatic with hand winding, 17 jewels. Fully serviced August 2021. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
