1973 Hamilton Auto Yorktowne

Serviced January 2020, Swiss made automatic movement, mint silver dial with applied hour markers and numerals, painted minute track. Hand polished stainless steel case and screw down case back, unworn genuine leather strap, signed crown, acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.

This Hamilton model was known by two names during its production. Introduced in 1973 and produced through 1976, the watch was known as the Yorktowne through 1974. In 1975, the name was changed to Auto Saratoga. The Auto Yorktowne is part of several Hamilton watches, including the Auto Saratoga, that took their names from early United States Navy aircraft carriers. This watch comes with a Swiss made (ETA) Hamilton caliber 815 automatic movement. The watch features a mint condition radially brushed silver dial with applied hour markers and numerals and a black painted minute track. The low domed acrylic crystal was polished clean and clear of any major defects. The stainless steel case has been hand polished with fine scratches evident. The crown is signed. The watch comes ready to wear on an unworn black genuine leather two piece strap with contracting stitching and silver toned buckle. The 815 caliber automatic also hand winds and was serviced January 2020 and is running strong and currently performing at +/- 17 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished stainless steel case with some scratches. Stainless steel screw down case back. The crown is signed with the Hamilton 'H' logo.

Lugs - In excellent condition with fine scratching.

Crystal - Low domed acrylic crystal polished clean and clear of any major defects.

Hands - Appear to be original with light patina.

Dial - Original, mint condition dial. Radially bushed with applied numerals and hour markers. Painted Hamilton "H" logo, painted minute track, and painted 'selfwinding' branding. Paint on the dial is in mint condition.

Band - Unworn genuine leather black two piece strap with silver tone buckle. Quick change spring bars.

Movement - Swiss (ETA) made Hamilton caliber 815, automatic with hand winding, 17 jewels. Fully serviced January 2020. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
