1973 Hamilton Auto Saratoga

Serviced March 2019, Swiss made automatic movement, mint silver dial with applied hour markers and numeral and painted minute track. Hand polished 14k gold electroplated case, stainless steel screw down case back, vintage expansion bracelet, acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.

Introduced in 1973 and produced through 1975, the Auto Saratoga takes its name from one of the United States' first aircraft carriers. It comes with a Swiss made (ETA) Hamilton caliber 817 automatic movement. The watch features a mint condition radially brushed silver dial with applied hour markers and numerals and a black painted minute track. The low domed acrylic crystal was polished clean and clear of any major defects. The 14k yellow gold electroplated case has been hand polished with factory brushing still visible and one scratch. The crown is signed and shows minor plate wear. The watch comes ready to wear on a vintage expansion bracelet. The 817 caliber automatic also hand winds and was serviced March 2019 and is running strong and currently performing at +/- 15 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 14k yellow gold electroplated case with some scratches. Stainless steel screw down case back with a scratch and factory brushing. The crown is signed with the Hamilton 'H' logo and shows plate wear.

Lugs - No visible wear on the reverse side of the lugs.

Crystal - Low domed acrylic crystal polished clean and clear.

Hands - Appear to be original with light patina.

Dial - Original, mint condition dial. Radially bushed with applied numerals and hour markers. Painted Hamilton "H" logo, painted minute track, and painted 'selfwinding' branding. Paint on the dial is in mint condition.

Bracelet - Vintage expansion bracelet.

Movement - Swiss (ETA) made Hamilton caliber 817, automatic with hand winding, 17 jewels. Fully serviced March 2019. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
