1973 Hamilton Auto Cal Delta (Stainless Steel)

Serviced October 2019, Swiss made automatic movement, quick set date, mint silver dial, hand polished stainless steel case, NOS acrylic crystal, original Hamilton link bracelet with signed clasp, signed crown, alloy mainspring.

The Hamilton Auto Cal Delta in stainless steel was only produced in 1973 and was not listed in publicly available catalogs, making this a relatively rare watch. The watch comes with a Swiss (ETA) made automatic 822 caliber movement with a quick set date complication at the 3 o'clock. The movement can be hand wound. The silver dial is in mint condition with no patina visible. The applied silver markers are accented with black enamel down the middle and are excellent. The paint for the Hamilton logo, the 'H' logo, and selfwinding branding is in mint condition. The red painted accents for the minute track are also in mint condition. The original silver hands with black paint down the center are very good with light patina developing. The watch is ready to wear on the original vintage Hamilton link bracelet that came with the watch in 1973. The Swiss (ETA) made 17 jewel caliber 822 automatic movement was fully serviced October 2019 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 21 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished steel case with screw down case back. Some scratching on the bezel and on the case back. Signed Hamilton crown countersunk into the case.

Lugs - Integrated lugs are in excellent condition with no major defects. Some light scratching.

Crystal - NOS acrylic crystal installed during service in October 2019.

Hands - Appear to be original with very light patina developing on the silver edges. Red painted center seconds in near mint condition.

Dial - Original silver dial in mint condition. Applied silver tone markers with black accents. Painted Hamilton and selfwinding branding. Mint painted minute track with red accents. Paint on the dial is in mint condition.

Bracelet - Vintage original Hamilton stainless steel link bracelet. Signed clasp. Some scratching consistent with age.

Movement - Swiss (ETA) made Hamilton automatic caliber 822, 17 jewels, quick change date, hand winds. Fully serviced October 2019. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
