Serviced January 2019, Swiss made automatic movement, day and date window at 3 o'clock, excellent silver dial, hand polished one piece stainless steel case, acrylic crystal, unworn black leather strap, alloy mainspring.
Made for three years from 1971 through 1973, the Hamilton Day 'n Date 5000 watch comes with a Swiss (AS) made automatic 646 caliber movement with day and date complications. The day wheel is black type on a white dial, while the date wheel is white on black. The silver dial is excellent with little to no patina visible. The applied silver markers are also excellent. The paint for the Hamilton and 'H' logo, automatic script branding, and minute track is in minty condition. The original silver hands are good, with patina visible. The watch is ready to wear on a brand new, unworn black leather strap with contrasting stitching. The Swiss (as) made 17 jewel caliber 646 automatic movement was fully serviced January 2019 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 10 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished one piece stainless steel case. Some scratching on the bezel and on the back chamfer.
Lugs - In excellent condition with no major defects. Some light scratching.
Crystal - Acrylic crystal polished clean and clear of any major defects.
Hands - Appear to be original with light patina developing. The lume also appears to be original and no longer glows.
Dial - Silver dial. Applied silver tone markers. Painted Hamilton, 'H' logo, and script automatic branding. Painted minute track. Paint on the dial is in minty condition.
Band - Unworn black croc print genuine leather strap with silver tone buckle and contrasting stitching.
Movement - Swiss (AS) made Hamilton automatic caliber 646, 17 jewels, day/date. Fully serviced January 2019. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
