1965 Hamilton Sea Mate II

Serviced August 2022, excellent radially brushed silver dial, polished 10k rolled gold plate one piece case, stainless steel case back, unworn black lizard print leather strap, signed Hamilton crown, acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.

Hamilton produced the Sea Mate II starting in 1965 through 1971, one of the few models to continue to be made by Hamilton after they moved operations to Switzerland in 1969. The radially brushed (sunburst) silver dial is original and has gold applied numerals and markers with a painted minute track and is in excellent condition. The dial is highlighted by a painted 'bullseye'. The paint for the minute track, bullseye, and Hamilton logo is mint. The hands appear to be original and show some patina. The one piece case has a 10k rolled gold bezel and a stainless steel back. The crown is signed and has some plate wear. The Swiss (ETA) made 688 movement was serviced August 2022 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 13 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 10k rolled gold plate bezel with integrated stainless steel case back. There is some fine scratching on the bezel and case back.

Lugs - No plate wear visible on the lugs.

Crystal - NOS domed acrylic crystal installed during service.

Hands - Appear to be original with patina.

Dial - Original, excellent condition dial. Silver sunburst finish, applied hour markers, painted minute track and bullseye detail. Paint on the dial is in mint condition.

Band - Unworn brown genuine leather lizard print strap with gold tone buckle.

Movement - Swiss (ETA) made Hamilton caliber 688, manual wind, 17 jewels. Fully serviced August 2022. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
