1964 Hamilton M 89-3

Serviced June 2019, Swiss made automatic movement, excellent silver dial with some patina, hand polished stainless steel case, NOS acrylic crystal, vintage stainless JB Champion bracelet, signed crown, alloy mainspring.

Hamilton M-series watches were a sperate line from the regular models and were primarily marketed in the 1960's through catalogs. This particular watch retailed for $89 in 1964, and was the third watch at that price, therefor was called the M89-3. The Hamilton M 89-3 in stainless steel was produced in 1964. The watch comes with a Swiss (ETA) made automatic 689A caliber movement and can be hand wound. The silver dial is excellent with some patina along the outer track from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock. The embossed hour markers and painted 12 and 6 are excellent. The paint for the Hamilton logo and automatic branding is excellent, as is the embossed 'H' logo. The original silver hour and minute hands show some light patina as does the blued sweep second hand. The watch is ready to wear on a vintage stainless steel JB Champion bracelet. The Swiss (ETA) made 17 jewel caliber 689A automatic movement was fully serviced June 2019 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 28 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished steel one piece case. Some scratching on the bezel and on the case back. Signed Hamilton crown.

Lugs - Lugs are in excellent condition with no major defects. Some light scratching.

Crystal - NOS acrylic crystal installed during June 2019 service.

Hands - Appear to be original with light patina developing.

Dial - Excellent silver dial. Light patina and minute track paint fading from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock, spots of patina at 2:30 and 4:30. Embossed silver hour markers and black painted 12 and 6. Painted Hamilton and automatic branding.

Bracelet - Vintage stainless steel JB Champion bracelet. Some scratching consistent with age.

Movement - Swiss (ETA) made Hamilton automatic caliber 689A, 17 jewels, hand winds. Fully serviced June 2019. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
