1963 Hamilton Drake

Serviced March 2019, Swiss made manual wind movement, excellent textured white dial with gold applied markers and gold numerals. Painted minute track and sub second cross hairs. Acrylic crystal, signed Hamilton crown, alloy mainspring.

Made for just one year in 1963, the Hamilton Drake features a one piece 10k rolled gold case (the Drake "B" in 1964 had a stainless steel case back). There is some scratching on the case. The dial is white with a concentric circular grooved texture, sometimes referred to as a 'record' finish. The dial has a painted minute track on a silver outer track, painted cross hairs across the dial as well as the sub seconds, and gold applied Arabic numerals and markers. Except for a few of the painted minute markers near the 3 o'clock, the paint is in excellent condition. The watch is ready to wear on a brand new black genuine leather two piece strap with gold tone buckle. The Swiss made 688 manual wind movement was serviced March 2019 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 14 seconds per day.

Case - 10k rolled gold plate one piece case. Hand polished. Signed Hamilton crown. Some minor scratching. Area on the reverse side near the crown appears to have been repaired at some point in the past.

Lugs - Minor plate wear on the reverse side of one of the lugs. Some scratching.

Crystal - Acrylic crystal polished clean and clear of major defects.

Hands - Appear to be original with very minor patina visible.

Dial - White 'record' dial with gold applied markers and gold numerals. A few flecks of patina visible. Painted cross hairs across dial and sub seconds. Painted minute track on silver outer track.

Band - Unworn black genuine leather two piece strap with gold tone buckle.

Movement - Swiss made Hamilton manual caliber 688, 17 jewels. Fully serviced March 2019. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
