1962 Hamilton Thin-o-matic T-406

1962 Hamilton Thin-o-matic T-406

Serviced November 2018, excellent silver dial with gold applied markers, extremely light flecked patina, polished 10k gold filled case, unworn croc print strap, and alloy mainspring.

Hamilton began producing the Thin-o-Matic line in 1959 using Swiss made mico-rotor movements. These movements allowed Hamilton to produce high quality automatic watches as well as capitalize on the prevailing trend of thin watch cases. This Hamilton Thin-o-Matic T-406 was made in 1962 and features a Swiss made caliber 663 automatic micro-rotor movement with 17 jewels made by Buren. The silver dial has very light patina and gold markers. The paint on the chapter ring, Hamilton logo, and Thin-o-Matic script is excellent and sharp. The 663 automatic movement was serviced November 2018 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 23 seconds per day.
