1960's Hamilton Uncatalogued Estoril

Serviced December 2019, Swiss made automatic movement, date at 3 o'clock, mint gilt dial, hand polished gold electroplated case, monogrammed stainless steel screw down case back, domed acrylic crystal, unworn brown leather strap, signed crown.

This Hamilton Estoril is uncatalogued in North American vintage catalogs and may have been a European model only. The watch comes with a Swiss made automatic 694A caliber movement with a date complication at the 3 o'clock. The movement can be hand wound. The gilt dial is in mint condition with no patina visible. The applied gold tone markers are excellent. The paint for the Hamilton logo, automatic branding, and Estoril branding is in mint condition. The original gilt hands are very good with light patina developing. The watch is ready to wear on an unworn brown genuine leather two piece strap. The Swiss made 17 jewel caliber 694A automatic movement was fully serviced December 2019 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 24 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished gold electroplated case with stainless steel screw down case back. Some scratching on the bezel and on the case back. Case back is monogrammed on the outer edge:

Lugs - Lugs are in good condition with some light scratching and plate ware on the tips.

Crystal - Acrylic crystal polished clean and clear of major defects in December 2019.

Hands - Appear to be original with very light patina developing on the gilt edges.

Dial - Original gilt dial in mint condition. Applied gold tone markers. Painted Hamilton, automatic, and Estoril branding. Mint painted minute track. Paint on the dial is in mint condition.

Band - Unworn, brown genuine leather strap with gold toned clasp and contrasting stitching.

Movement - Swiss made Hamilton automatic caliber 694A, 17 jewels, date, hand winds. Fully serviced December 2019. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
