1960 Hamilton Thin-o-Matic T-451

Serviced May 2019, very good dial with flecks of light patina, hand polished 10k gold filled case and stainless steel case back, unworn leather strap, NOS acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.

Hamilton began producing the Thin-o-Matic line of watches in 1959 using Swiss made micro rotor movements. These movements allowed Hamilton to produce high quality automatic watches as well as capitalize on the prevailing trend of thin watch cases. This Thin-o-Matic T-451 was first introduced in 1960 and was made through 1963. The watch comes with a Swiss (Buren) made micro rotor automatic movement, caliber 663 with 17 jewels and a center sweep second hand. The two tone dial is in very good condition and has flecked patina under the loupe. The painted Hamilton logos and unique script Thin-o-Matic brand are in excellent condition. The minute track is pearlized. The outer track of the dial is a textured white finish with gold applied hour markers. The hands appear to be original with light patina. The 10k gold filled case and integrated stainless steel case back are hand polished. The bezel has light scratching. A NOS acrylic crystal was installed during service. The watch comes ready to wear on a brand new, unworn brown genuine leather strap with a gold tone buckle and contrasting stitching. The 663 automatic movement was serviced May 2019 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 26 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 10k gold filled bezel with integrated stainless steel case back. There is some scratching on the front of the bezel. Case back has light scratching consistent with age. Replacement crown.

Lugs - Some plate wear on the tips and edges of the lugs.

Crystal - NOS acrylic crystal installed during full service May 2019.

Hands - Appear to be original with patina.

Dial - Two tone gilt and white dial with applied gold hour markers and pearlized minute track. Light, honest flecked patina. Textured outer track. Paint on the dial is in mint condition.

Band - Brand new, unworn brown genuine leather strap with gold tone buckle and contrasting stitching.

Movement - Swiss (Buren) made Hamilton caliber 663, micro rotor automatic wind, 17 jewels, center sweep seconds. Fully serviced May 2019. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
