1960 Hamilton Rodney

Serviced March 2019, two tone quadrant dial, hand polished 10k gold filled case and bezel, lightly worn leather strap, monogramed case back, acrylic crystal, signed crown, alloy mainspring.

Made for 12 years from 1953 through 1964, the Rodney was a popular watch, especially as a presentation watch due to the larger size and smooth case back. Over the years, the Rodney came with different caliber movements and was available in several different dial options, including the two toned quadrant dial on this particular watch. This Rodney comes with a manual wind American made Hamilton caliber 735 movement with 18 jewels and a center sweep second hand. The 735 movement was used in the later production years, so this watch was likely made in the 1960 or 1961. The silver and white two tone dial is in very good condition. The painted cross hairs and Hamilton logo are in excellent condition, as is the pearlized minute track. The hands appear to be original with little to no patina. The 10k gold filled case and bezel are hand polished. The bezel has some scratching. The case back is monogramed. The watch comes ready to wear on a gently worn brown genuine leather croc print strap with gold tone buckle and contrasting stitching. The 735 manual wind movement was serviced March 2019 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 23 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 10k gold filled bezel and monogrammed case back. The case back is monogrammed "D.R. Haekuey, 50 years service, L & N R. R. Co., 1961". There is no visible plate wear, but some scratching on the bezel. Hamilton signed crown.

Lugs - Minor scratches on the dial side of the lugs, some plate wear on the inside tips of the lugs.

Crystal - Polished acrylic crystal.

Hands - Appear to be original. Little to no patina visible.

Dial - Two tone silver and white dial with applied gold markers and pearlized minute track. Paint on the dial is in mint condition.

Band - Lightly worn brown genuine leather croc print two piece strap with contracting stitching and gold tone buckle.

Movement - American made Hamilton caliber 735, manual wind, 18 jewels, center sweep seconds. Fully serviced March 2019. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
