1960 Hamilton Automatic K-650

Serviced May 2020, Swiss made automatic movement, good white dial with yellow incised markers on white rim, pearlized minute track. Hand polished 10k rolled gold bezel, stainless steel screw down case back, unworn leather croc print strap with gold tone buckle, domed acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.

The Hamilton Automatic K-650 was introduced in 1959 and made through 1960. Interestingly, the dial offered in 1959 is completely different than the one from the 1960 model, making this example easy to identify the year of manufacture. The Automatic K-650 comes with a Swiss made automatic wind caliber 661. The watch features a good original white dial with yellow incised hour markers, a white outer chapter ring, and pearlized minute track. There is honest patina across the dial. The hands appear to be original with patina. The paint for the curved 'Hamilton' is excellent, the 'Automatic' paint has faded letters 'O' and 'I'. The domed acrylic crystal was polished clean and clear of major defects during the full service May 2020. The 10k rolled gold bezel has been hand polished and shows minor scratching. There is plate wear on the reverse of the case. The screw down stainless steel case back has some scratching consistent with age. The watch comes ready to wear on an unworn black genuine leather croc print strap with gold tone buckle. The caliber 661 Swiss made automatic wind movement was serviced May 2020 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 22 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 10k rolled gold bezel, stainless steel screw down case back. Some scratching. Plate ware on reverse side of bezel.

Lugs - Some plate wear evident on the reverse tips of the lugs.

Crystal - Domed acrylic crystal polished clean and clear of major defects during service May 2020.

Hands - Appear to be original with patina. No lume present.

Dial - Original, good white dial with yellow incised markers on white rim, pearlized minute track. Patina evident across the dial.

Band - Unworn genuine leather black croc print strap with gold tone buckle.

Movement - Swiss made caliber 661 movement, automatic, 17 jewels. Fully serviced May 2020. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
