1959 Hamilton Accumatic V

1959 Hamilton Accumatic V

Serviced December 2018, Swiss made automatic movement, excellent textured silver dial with silvered applied numerals and markers, polished stainless steel case and monogrammed screw down case back, vintage JB stainless steel expansion bracelet, acrylic crystal.

Hamilton produced around 66 different automatic watch models in the Accumatic lineup. The Accumatic V was one of the earlier models and was first introduced in 1958 and produced through 1959. The hands on this particular example were uses on the 1959 model. The beautifully textured silver dial is in excellent condition with two spots of radium burn. It appears the watch stopped at 2:30 at some point in the past and the radioactive radium that was on the hands burned the dial slightly. The applied minute track dots are excellent. The paint for the Hamilton logo and automatic branding is also mint. The watch is ready to wear on a vintage JB expansion bracelet in stainless steel. The case back is monogrammed with the words "P.P. TO H.P. 6-23-62". The Swiss (ETA) made 672 automatic movement was serviced December 2018 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 10 seconds per day.
