1958 Hamilton Boatswain

Serviced April 2019, Swiss made manual wind movement, excellent white dial with gold embossed numerals, light patina, polished 10k rolled gold bezel, screw down stainless steel case back, acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.

Made for three years from 1958 through 1960, the Hamilton Boatswain was the first of three Boatswain models the company would introduce. The Boatswain features a Swiss made 671 caliber manual wind movement with center sweep seconds. The excellent white dial features embossed gold numerals, lume hour dots, and a pearlized minute track. There is some light patina on the dial, most noticeable from the 6 to the 8. The outside of the dial has a wavy engraved texture. The paint for the curved Hamilton logo is in excellent condition. The hands appear to be original and are in good condition with patina. The watch comes ready to wear on an unworn genuine leather croc print brown strap with gold tone buckle. The high domed acrylic crystal is polished clean and clear of major defects. The 671 center sweep seconds movement was serviced April 2019 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 23 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 10k rolled gold plate bezel, stainless steel screw down case back. Some minor scratching.

Lugs - Minor wear on the tips on the reverse side of the lugs.

Crystal - High domed acrylic crystal polished clean and clear of major defects.

Hands - Appear to be original, in good condition with patina.

Dial - Excellent white dial. Embossed gold numerals. Pearlized minute track. Wavy engraved texture on the outside of the dial with some patina. The paint on the dial is excellent.

Band - Brand new, unworn brown croc print genuine leather strap with gold tone buckle.

Movement - Swiss made, Hamilton caliber 671, manual wind. Serviced April 2019. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
