1957 Hamilton Thincraft II

Serviced March 2019, quadrant sterling silver dial, 14k gold pearlized minute track and markers, hand polished 10k gold filled case and bezel, vintage JB Champion expansion bracelet, acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.

Made for four years from 1957 through 1960, the Thincraft II was meant to capitalize on the growing popularity of thin watches. The Thincraft I and Thincraft II were Hamilton's first models with "thin" in the name with many, many more models (Thinline and Thin-o-matic lines) to follow in the years to come. This Thincraft II comes with a manual wind American made Hamilton caliber 735 movement with 18 jewels and a center sweep second hand. The sterling silver dial is in excellent condition. The cross hairs across are engraved into the dial, as are most of the markers. The applied markers and the pearlized minute track are 14k gold. The hands appear to be original with light patina. The 10k gold filled case and bezel are hand polished with some scratching. The watch comes ready to wear on a vintage JB Champion expansion bracelet with 10k gold filled caps and stainless steel backs. The 735 manual wind movement was serviced March 2019 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 15 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 10k gold filled bezel and case. There is no visible plate wear, but some scratching on the bezel and case back.

Lugs - Minor scratches on the dial side of the lugs, no plate wear on the tips.

Crystal - Polished domed acrylic crystal.

Hands - Appear to be original. Light patina.

Dial - Sterling silver with applied 14k gold markers and pearlized minute track. Engraved cross hairs and hour markers. Paint on the dial is in mint condition.

Bracelet - JB Champion expansion bracelet, gold filled tops and stainless steel back.

Movement - American made Hamilton caliber 735, manual wind, 18 jewels, center sweep seconds. Fully serviced March 2019. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
