1957 Hamilton Nautilus II

1957 Hamilton Nautilus II

Serviced March 2019, Swiss made manual wind movement, excellent white dial with gold embossed markers and numerals, no visible patina, radium burn at 7:55, polished 10k rolled gold bezel, screw down stainless steel case back, NOS acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.

Made for two years from 1957 through 1958, the Hamilton Nautilus II featured a Swiss made 686 caliber manual wind movement. The model began as a Hamilton Illinois watch as the two companies were merging in the 1950's. The near mint white dial features embossed gold markers and numerals. There is no visible patina on the dial, but there is slight radium burns where the watch stopped at 7:55. The paint for the curved Hamilton logo is in excellent condition as it is for the minute track. The hands appear to be original and are in excellent condition. The watch comes ready to wear on a vintage JB expansion bracelet with gold caps and stainless steel backs. A NOS high domed acrylic crystal was installed during the full serving of the watch in March 2019. The 671 center sweep seconds movement was serviced March 2019 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 22 seconds per day.
