1956 Hamilton Clark

1956 Hamilton Clark

Serviced November 2022, excellent silver dial, polished 10k gold filled case, monogrammed case back, unworn genuine lizard strap, NOS acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.

Hamilton produced the Clark starting in 1955 and it ran through 1957. In 1956, Hamilton introduced their renown manual wind movement, the caliber 770, which was a shock protected upgrade of the 753. Since this example of the Clark comes with the 770, it was most likely produced in 1956 or 1957. A small watch, its most distinctive feature are the large, sharply pointed lugs. The silver dial is original and has gold applied numerals and markers with a painted sub seconds register and is in excellent condition. The paint for the Hamilton branding is mint. The hands appear to be original and show very little patina. The case back is monogrammed. A NOS curved acrylic crystal was installed during service. The American made 770 movement was serviced November 2022 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 13 seconds per day.
