1955 Hamilton Baxter

Serviced May 2019, American made manual wind movement, excellent sterling silver dial with 18k gold applied hour dots and numerals. Hand polished 10k gold filled bezel with some fine scratches, stainless steel case back, vintage genuine crocodile strap with gold tone buckle, acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.

Made from 1955 through 1957, the Hamilton Baxter was a larger watch for the time. This watch comes with an American made Hamilton caliber 747 manual wind movement. The watch features an excellent sterling silver dial with applied 18k gold numerals and dots. The dial has taken on an almost champaign color. The acrylic crystal was polished clean and clear of any major defects during the full service May 2019. The 10k gold filled bezel has been hand polished and shows some minor scratching. There is little to no plate wear evident. The stainless steel case back has some minor scratching consistent with age. The watch comes ready to wear on a vintage genuine crocodile two piece strap with gold tone buckle. There is some cracking on the inside of the strap. The 747 caliber manual wind movement was serviced May 2019 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 21 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 10k gold filled bezel, stainless steel case back. Fine scratching evident.

Lugs - No plate wear evident on the tips of the lugs.

Crystal - Acrylic crystal polished clean and clear.

Hands - Appear to be original with little to no patina.

Dial - Original, excellent condition dial. Sterling silver dial with applied 18k gold numerals and dots. Paint on the dial is in excellent condition.

Band - Used, vintage genuine croc two piece strap. Exterior of the strap is in very good condition. Some cracking on the inside.

Movement - American made Hamilton caliber 747, manual, 17 jewels. Fully serviced May 2019. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
