1953 Hamilton Rodney
Serviced October 2022, refinished black dial, hand polished 10k gold filled case and bezel, unworn worn leather strap, acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.
Made for 12 years from 1953 through 1964, the Rodney was a popular watch, especially as a presentation watch due to the larger size and smooth case back. Over the years, the Rodney came with different caliber movements and was available in several different dial options. This Rodney comes with a manual wind American made Hamilton caliber 748 movement with 18 jewels and a center sweep second hand. The refinished gloss black dial is in very good condition with light patina visible. The painted Hamilton logo is in excellent condition, as is the minute track. The hands appear to be original with light patina. The 10k gold filled case and bezel are hand polished. The bezel has some scratching. The case back has a few dings and scratches. The watch comes ready to wear on a unworn black genuine leather two piece strap with gold tone buckle. The 748 manual wind movement was serviced October 2022 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 24 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 10k gold filled bezel and case back. There is no visible plate wear, but some scratching on the bezel. Case back has a few significant dings and fine scratching.
Lugs - Minor scratches on the dial side of the lugs, some plate wear on the inside tips of the lugs.
Crystal - Polished acrylic crystal.
Hands - Appear to be original. Light patina visible.
Dial - Refinished gloss black dial with applied yellow gold numerals. Paint for the Hamilton logo and minute track in excellent condition. Some minor flecks of patina visible.
Band - Unworn black genuine leather two piece strap with gold tone buckle.
Movement - American made Hamilton caliber 478, manual wind, 18 jewels, center sweep seconds. Fully serviced October 2022. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
