1952 Hamilton Franklin B

1952 Hamilton Franklin B

Serviced March 2019, good silver dial with patina and 18k gold applied numbers and markers, polished 10k gold filled case and bezel, unworn leather strap, alloy mainspring, NOS acrylic crystal.

Made just one year in 1952, the Hamilton Franklin B came with the newly introduced 12/0 size caliber 752 manual wind movement. 1952 was the last year that Hamilton produced the 8/0 sized calibers (980, 982, & 982M). The 'B' in the model name indicates the movement change, whereas the Franklin (no 'B') came with one of the 8/0 size movements. This particular Franklin B's silver dial is in good condition with patina. It comes with 10k gold even numerals and markers. The painted minute track shows some minor fading near the 1 o'clock. The painted Hamilton logo and sub seconds track is excellent. The crown is signed. The 10k gold filled case has some plate wear. The 752 manual wind movement was serviced March 2019 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 32 seconds per day.
