1952 Hamilton Franklin

1952 Hamilton Franklin

Serviced December 2018, sterling silver dial with 18k gold applied numerals and markers, honest patina across the dial, polished 10k gold filled tank-style case, unworn genuine leather croc print strap, NOS acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.

Made for just one year in 1952, the Franklin came with a 17 jewel American made 980 manual wind movement. 1952 was the last year that the 14/0 sized movements (980 and 982's) were produced by Hamilton. Subsequent models of the Franklin were designated with a 'B' and used the 752 movement. This Franklin features a sterling silver dial with 18k gold applied numerals. The dial is in good condition with honest, even patina across the dial, giving it a champagne color. The paint for the Hamilton logo, sub seconds track, and minute track is in great condition. The 980 manual movement was serviced December 2018 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 26 seconds per day.
