1951 Hamilton Brent

1951 Hamilton Brent

Serviced March 2020, original silver dial with 18k gold applied numerals and markers. Hand polished 14k gold filled case, unworn leather strap, acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.

Produced in 1951 and 1952, the Brent came with two different movements depending on the year of manufacture. The Brent's made in 1951 came with the 19 jewel caliber 982 while those produced in 1952 would have come with the caliber 753. This example comes with a caliber 982 with a serial number that confirms it was finished in 1951. The original silver dial is in fair condition with some scratching and patina across the dial. The paint on the outer minute track is in excellent condition. The hands appear to be original with very light patina. The thick acrylic crystal was polished clean and clear of any major defects during service March 2020. The hand polished 14k gold filled case shows some fine scratching. There is plate wear on the case back near the crown and on the lower edge. The 982 manual wind movement was serviced March 2020 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 33 seconds per day.
