1941 Hamilton Ross
1941 Hamilton Ross
Serviced December 2022, gilt and coral dial with Roman numeral markers, light patina, hand polished 14k yellow gold filled case, unworn genuine leather strap, NOS acrylic crystal, monogrammed caseback, alloy mainspring.
Hamilton produced the Ross from 1939 through 1946. The early models used Hamilton's 980 caliber movement. In 1941, the Ross was offered with additional dials and case materials, one of which was yellow gold case with a gilt and coral dial that featured the upgraded 982 movement. There is very little patina visible on the dial, but there is some fine scuffing near the 10:30 position. The Hamilton logo and sub seconds paint is excellent. The hands appear to be original and are blued. There is plate wear on the corners of the monogrammed case back. The lugs are drilled. This Hamilton Ross comes ready to wear on an unworn black leather two piece strap with gold tone buckle and contrasting stitching. The serial number on the movement (J149460) indicates it was finished in 1941. The 982 small seconds movement was serviced December 2022 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 14 seconds per day.
