1940 Hamilton Vincent

Serviced February 2019, good silver dial with 18k gold applied numbers, light patina, polished 10k gold filled case, monogrammed case bask. stunning woven lugs, genuine leather lizard print strap, NOS alloy mainspring, acrylic crystal.

Made for just two years in 1940 and 1941, the Vincent features an American made 982 caliber manual mind movement with 19 jewels. The silver dial has light patina and a hairline scratch between the 12 o'clock and 2 o'clock positions. The painted minute track, Hamilton logo, and sub seconds track is excellent. The most distinctive feature of the Hamilton Vincent is the woven lug design, giving the watch an elegant mid-century modern look. The case back is monogrammed. The watch comes ready to wear on a light used genuine leather lizard print strap with gold tone buckle. While the case was made in either 1940 or 1941, the serial number on the movement indicates that it was produced in 1950 and was likely a replacement during a service in the past. The 982 manual wind movement was serviced February 2019 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 28 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 10k gold filled bezel and case back. There is no visible plate wear. The case back is monogrammed "W.I. BREWER".

Lugs - No visible wear on the lugs, including on the tips.

Crystal - Acrylic crystal polished clean and clear.

Hands - Appear to be original with light patina.

Dial - Original silver dial with 18k applied gold numerals and light patina across the dial. Paint on the dial is in excellent condition.

Band - Lightly worn genuine leather lizard print two piece strap with gold tone buckle.

Movement - American made Hamilton caliber 982, manual wind, 19 jewels. Brand new alloy mainspring installed during the full service February 2019. Serial number J596885 is from 1950. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
