1940 Hamilton Boulton

Serviced April 2020, excellent silver dial with 18k gold applied numbers. Hand polished 14k gold filled case, Italian leather unworn strap, NOS mineral glass crystal, alloy mainspring.

Produced from 1940 through 1952, this is one of Hamilton's most popular models. The design is so timeless, Hamilton reintroduced the Boulton as a quartz watch in their modern lineup. This Boulton features an American made 982 caliber manual mind movement with 19 jewels. The serial number stamped on the barrel bridge (J105265) indicates the watch was produced in 1940. The original silver dial is in excellent condition. The paint for the minute track is also in excellent condition, as is the paint for the sub seconds dial and the Hamilton logo. There is little to no patina evident across the dial. A NOS mineral glass crystal was installed during service April 2020. The hand polished 10k gold filled case shows some fine scratching and plate wear on the reverse side of the lugs. The watch comes ready to wear on an unworn Italian leather strap with contrasting stitches, gold tone hardware, and quick release spring bars. The 982 manual wind movement was serviced April 2020 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 25 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 14k gold filled bezel and case back. Some fine scratching on the bezel.

Lugs - Plate wear on the edges of the lugs on the reverse side.

Crystal - NOS mineral glass crystal installed as part of the full servicing in April 2020.

Hands - Appear to be original with patina.

Dial - Original silver dial with gold applied Arabic numerals. Hamilton logo, sub seconds track, and minute track paint in excellent condition.

Strap - Superb unworn Italian leather strap with contrasting stitches, gold tone hardware, and quick release spring bars.

Movement - American made Hamilton caliber 982, manual wind, 19 jewels. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
