1940 Hamilton Boulton

Serviced February 2020, very good silver dial with 18k gold applied numbers. Hand polished 14k gold filled case, vintage 10k gold filled capped Speidel expansion bracelet, NOS acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.

Produced from 1940 through 1952, this is one of Hamilton's most popular models. The design is so timeless, Hamilton reintroduced the Boulton as a quartz watch in their modern lineup. This Boulton features an American made 982 caliber manual mind movement with 19 jewels. The original silver dial is in very good shape. Some of the paint on the minute track has faded between 6 and 7 o'clock. The balance of the paint on the dial is excellent. There is little to no patina evident. A NOS acrylic crystal was installed during service February 2020. The crown is signed. The hand polished 10k gold filled case shows some fine scratching. The 982 manual wind movement was serviced February 2020 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 33 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 14k gold filled bezel and case back. Some fine scratching on the bezel. Minor plate wear on the case back, near the crown.

Lugs - Plate wear on the tips of the lugs on the reverse side.

Crystal - NOS acrylic crystal installed as part of the full servicing in February 2020.

Hands - Appear to be original with some patina.

Dial - Original silver dial with gold applied Arabic numerals. Hamilton logo and sub seconds track paint in great condition. Some paint fading of the minute track between the 6 and 7 o'clock.

Bracelet - Vintage Speidel expansion bracelet featuring 10k gold filled caps and stainless steel back.

Movement - American made Hamilton caliber 982, manual wind, 19 jewels. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
