1935 Hamilton Drake

Serviced February 2021, fair original dial with gold applied numerals, painted minute track, polished 10k gold filled bezel and case back. Unworn brown genuine leather strap, alloy mainspring, mineral glass crystal.

Introduced in the 1933 Hamilton catalog and large for the time, the Drake features an American made 987-F caliber manual mind movement with 17 jewels. The serial number on the movement (4401307) indicates that it was made in 1935. The original dial is patinaed. The painted minute track, sub seconds track, and Hamilton logo are excellent. The applied numerals are gold. The hands appear to be original and are in good condition with light patina. There is little to no plate wear to the gold filled plating, a rarity for the stepped case design of the Drake. The case back still shows factory brushing with fine scratching. The watch comes ready to wear on an unworn brown genuine leather two piece strap with gold tone buckle. A NOS mineral glass crystal was installed during the February 2021 service, along with a NOS white allow mainspring. The 987-F manual wind movement was serviced February 2021 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 37 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 10k gold filled bezel and case back. Factory brushing still evident on case back. Little to no plate wear.

Lugs - Little to no plate wear on the drilled lugs.

Crystal - NOS mineral glass crystal.

Hands - Appear to be original with light patina.

Dial - Original dial with applied gold numerals. Patina evident across the dial. Paint on the dial is in excellent condition.

Band -Unworn brown genuine leather two piece strap with gold tone buckle.

Movement - American made Hamilton caliber 987-F, manual wind, 17 jewels. Serviced February 2021. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
