1935 Hamilton Dixon

Serviced July 2018, white textured dial with honest patina, polished 10k gold filled case, unworn genuine leather strap with gold tone clasp.

Hamilton originally produced the Dixon in 1935 through 1938. Like many watches from the 1930's produced by Hamilton, this is an excellent Art Deco style time piece, particularly with the stepped lug design and the hands. The white dial is original, has solid 18k gold applied numerals, and what appear to be original hands. Zooming in on the pictures, the vertical grooved texture can be seen on the dial. The paint for the minute and second track is in great condition with a majority of the patina around the outside of the dial. The movement was serviced July 2018 and is running very strong and currently reading +/- 15 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 10k gold filled. There is wear through on the edges of case back, typical of this watch and has been repaired in the past by another watchmaker. The bezel is in good shape with some minor wear on the lower right corner.

Lugs - There is some wear through on the tops of Art Deco style stepped lugs.

Crystal - Fresh NOS mineral glass installed July 2018 as part of the full servicing of this watch.

Hands - The original Art Deco hands are in excellent shape with some very light patina.

Dial - White textured dial, 18k solid gold applied numerals. Honest patina on the outside edge of the dial with the minute and sub seconds track paint in excellent condition.

Band - New, unworn, croc embossed brown genuine leather strap with gold clasp.

Movement - Hamilton caliber 987-F, manual wind. Serviced July 2018. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
