1927 Hamilton Tonneau Engraved

Serviced April 2020, original two tone silver dial with painted numerals and minute track. Hand polished 14k yellow gold filled case, unworn leather strap, mineral glass crystal, engraved case back, alloy mainspring.

Produced from 1927 through 1932, the Tonneau Engraved is from the so called "geometric" era of Hamilton watches when their wrist watches were named for their case shapes. The serial number on the barrel bridge is from May 24th, 1927. This Tonneau Engraved comes with a manual wind, American made, Hamilton caliber 987 with 17 jewels. The original two tone silver dial is in very good condition with some light patina across the dial. The paint on the outer minute track is in good condition. The hands appear to be original with very light patina. It appears that they were re-lumed at some point in the watch's distant past. A NOS mineral glass crystal was installed during service April 2020. The hand polished 14k gold filled case shows some fine scratching and plate wear on the back. The case back is monogrammed. The watch comes ready to wear on a used brown croc print leather strap with gold toned hardware. The 987 manual wind movement was serviced April 2020 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 53 seconds per day.

Lugs - No significant plate wear visible. Lugs are drilled.

Crystal - NOS mineral glass crystal installed as part of the full servicing in March 2020.

Hands - Appear to be original with some patina. Hand appear to have been re-lumed at some point in the past.

Dial - Original two tone silver dial with painted Arabic numerals and minute track. Hamilton logo and sub seconds track paint in great condition. Some light, honest patina evident across the dial.

Band - Used brown leather croc pring two piece strap croc print with gold tone buckle.

Movement - American made Hamilton caliber 987, manual wind, 17 jewels. Fully serviced April 2020. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
